Hospitals exist
so you can pull up a chair

We often hide the good, the pretty, the successful inside ourselves from the bad, the failure, the ugly. They have to unify else we get fragmented inside ourselves and we can’t accept who we are.

Ive always thought it interesting to compare the two quotes
what would you do if you knew you couldn’t fail?
what would you do if you weren’t afriad?

cause like, if I couldn’t fail, id eventually loose steam, yea know, it wouldn’t be worth it after awhile to try. but if i was never afraid, i would just take on everything, nothing would hold me back! and if i wasn’t afraid, its sort of a given that I expected to succeed, that I wouldn’t fail (that is what we fear, right? failure). this is a paradox. how can these be as accurate as they are contradicting?

in {Mother Teresa’s} Homes for the Dying, one could “hear the screams of people having maggots tweezered from their open wounds without pain relief.” On principle, strong painkillers were not administered even in severe cases. According to Mother Teresa’s philosophy, it is ‘the most beautiful gift for a person that he can participate in— the sufferings of Christ’.
